Datsun Roadster Store
For many years now, people have sent me info about a Datsun Roadster they were trying to sell. I've finally decided to put up a page for this. In addition, I've put up some manuals, parts catalogs, and a couple models. Please email me at gvalazza@hotmail.com if you want any more information and to make sure I have the item. Right now to keep this simple, I'm just shipping domestic to the United States.

1969 Datsun 2000 Roadster SOLD
Car features the U20 engine with SU carbs and a 5-speed transmission. It has 112,000 miles and outside of regular maintenance, the car has only had a starter replacement in the past 15 years. The engine was rebuilt at 74,951 miles and the clutch was replaced as well. The body is in good shape with very little rust under the car. It still has the original emblems, bumpers and luggage rack, and original chrome hubcaps. The trunk lid will need replaced as rust has collected on the end lid panel. The car has the original high windshield, spare tire and jack and the original owner manual and service manual. The interior will need replaced. Seat covers are worn and ripped, but padding is still in place. Center console will need restored, has everything but cigarette lighter. Radio should work, but needs either speaker or antenna work. Dash will need replaced or cover. Speedometer works, tachometer does not. Car handles well and has new tires. This car is a blast to drive. Handles great and has power. Car was purchased in Atlanta Georgia, later sold to a mechanic in Birmingham Alabama. I purchased the car in 1999 and it has been stored indoors for the past 15 years. I have several other pictures if you are interested.
The car is in Wichita, KS.

Interior is all original and in very good condition, dash and console are solid. it has been featured in car shows and parades over the years. Comes complete with soft-top and spare parts. The car has been babied with synthetic oil and garaged for at least the last 36 years. I have had fun driving it on the beatutiful Oregon summer days, but we are moving and I need to sell it. 1969 Datsun 2000 Roadster SOLD
I am the second owner of this nice Roadster, and have owned it for 27
years. This car is totally original and has just over 100,000 miles on the
odometer. Original engine and transmission run perfect! The only work I've ever had done on the car is a stock brake job a few years ago. Interior is original and in good to excellent condition.
The car does need new canvas for the top finally, but the top structure is in excellent shape so it should be easy to arrange a new canvas top. I've only put 20,000 miles on this car in the past 27 years, and it has always been garaged in winter. Basically just drive it a bit each summer!
This is a hard to find totally original stock vehicle and will make someone a wonderful daily driver or excellent classic vehicle to take to the shows! Originally a California car, we now live in Eugene, Oregon.

1968 Datsun 2000 Roadster SOLD
This 1968 Datsun Roadster I have for sale is a very solid driver-quality example: it is a Hagerty 3-4 rating or "good" according to the books. I have owned it for the last 13 years and drove it a solid 102,516 miles. It has been driven on long drives several times without fault. Always garage kept, warm in the winter, dry in the summer. The body is straight with solid rockers. There is real patina which is desirable right now. Nothing hidden. I am the 3rd owner 1st owner had it a year the second owner was a small island mechanic and he bought if for his son upon his return from Vietnam. He had it till early 80's when he had a right qtr panel slight banger so the hood and the pane were re-painted. It is 10-15 footer visually. An ideal choice for road rallies such as the California Melee and Motherlode 400, or Shasta Datsun Show as it's a good driver that is cosmetically presentable, sound mechanically, 98% original but not currently a Concourse show car.
The car sports a clean body with two little rust bubbles on the rear panel. Some buffing spots. The car has never suffered any significant damage. The rockers and underside also appear very clean. Small crack in the dash and some cosmetic uplift needed. On the plus side, the bright work is very good throughout, the car appears to retain its original headlights, and sports period-style driving lights. The roll-bar is a nice addition as well, but could easily be removed if desired.
Has a worn vinyl top, a hardtop, and hard to find 2nd Tourneau cover.
The interior is in good, serviceable condition, the only major flaw being a crack in the dash (typical) with replaceable dashes available still today. We like this early dash design and the factory wheel, which would look great with a black leather wrap in place of the existing. The heater blower is currently by-passed but does work.
The engine fires up easily and shows strong oil pressure, delivering good power through its 5-speed manual transmission which was over-hauled in 2000 with new clutch and seals. Might need to replace front-end tie-rod arms and bushings. The car sports ok tires and the brakes have been serviced within the last five years (show good.)
New radiator in 2004. New manifold 2006. Lots and lots of loving car annually.
It would make a great choice for someone looking to get into the vintage scene in a classic sports roadster. This is not a concourse-level car by any means, but a trusty and solid runner that should provide many more happy miles.
Or it could be a solid base to grow into a real "Show Car."
The car is located in Seattle, Washington.
Offered at $9,500

1969 Datsun 1600 Roadster SOLD
This little car will be a treat to drive around this summer, and will make for a wonderful restoration project too when you're ready for that. Runs and drives great. I've had it for nearly 20 years now, have garaged it for the last 15, and have made gradual mechanical repairs including brakes, thermostat, alternator, electronic ignition, tires, and more. Front fenders both have the cancer behind the wheels but otherwise, the frame is solid and the body is in pretty good shape considering the age. Comes with a great hardtop from Custom Hardtops. The soft top is yours too but it needs some work. The car is located in Seattle, WA.
