1970 -  Datsun 2000s pack the DP line-up at Road Atlanta for the 1970 ARRC

According to race reports, the D Production  race for the SCCA's 1970 ARRC was the best of the weekend. It was packed full of Datsun 2000s. Alongside Brian Fuerstenau's Group 44 GT6 is Dan Parkinson. In the row behind, alongside J Don McGaffee in his GT6, is eventual winner Jim 'Fitzy' Fitzgerald, while behind Fitzy are the Datsuns of John McComb (BRE), Jack Scoville next to Carl Swanson's GT6. Behind them are Dave Frellsen (black bonnet/hood) and Dave Eagleson. Also in the line-up are Corky Bell, Jo Hebert, Gerald Murch, and Ray Kaehler, while in the resreve list were Colonel George Franklin and John Morton in the second BRE 2000. John Morton had been the fastest of all qualifiers, but he was a reserve driver from the Southern Pacific Division. Having finished the regular season in 4th place (concentrating on his 240Z campaign), he was a disappointed non-starter.
