July 1968 -Dick Roberts' 1967 Datsun Racing Team 2000 -

Dick qualified for the 1968 ARRC and finished 10th in this car - see also the Datsun Racing Team pages.

Nancy Roberts says: The 2000 was a factory-owned car that was campaigned by a California team (Dwayne Feuerhelm's Datsun Racing Team) for most of the year and was not qualified. In late summer, the 2000 was flown to St. Louis where Dick picked it up and campaigned it for the remainder of the year to get it qualified.  A truly Herculean feat that required us taking the car to St. Louis, Tulsa, & West Palm Beach among others. The last race of the year was West Palm Beach - Dick made the runoffs in the 2000 by 1 point, if I recall correctly.
