My 1967 2000 Datsun is number 00699. It is truely an original solex car and was the first demonstrator sent to Regina, Saskatchewan. The car was purchased, stripped, modified and
promptly put on the race track. The car raced all over the prairie region of Canada and as far east as Mosport. It was both competitive and a winner in C/D production road racing and as well as ice racing.
I purchased the car this past year from the second owners who had had it in storage since 1976. The car is missing much of its cosmetic stuff but does come with many period race goodies. Although it is absolutely rust free there is about 20lbs of body fill covering several race-induced dents.
My intentions are to restore the car with original parts but to retain most of its race heritage. I plan to both drive the car on the street and race it in vintage & slolom. I live in Moncton, New Brunswick and own one of only two known roadsters in this area.
