1967 - Dan Parkinson in his Datsun Racing Team 1600 during a Californian enduro

Notice the front driving lights and the light ahead of the race number, only used in enduros. Also notice the burn mark on the arch above the rear wheel. Datsun roadster race cars often suffered this problem, with racers going for tyre/wheel combinations designed to improve the rear track - some with terminal results. A further page will follow discussing how some racers tried to get round this problem.
