The ex-1969 Monte Carlo Rally cars line up for the 1969 Tulip Rally - These were the high windshield 2000s that competed in the 1969 Monte Carlo Rally , and which had been passed to a Dutch private team for the Tulip Rally (The Dutch National Racing Team, with support from Datsun Nederland). The main reason for this is that, unlike the 1968 Tulip Rally, the 1969 event did not form part of the European Championship for Marques. Rob Janssen and Jaap Dik (centre) finished a respectable 5th in the 1969 event. Rob Janssen had started his rallying career driving a BMW for Rob Slotemaker.
Note: Hannu Mikkola and Jorma Lusenius's 1968 2000s were low windshield models. Where are any of these 1968 and 1969 cars now?
