Oldest surviving SRL311 for sale Oldest surviving SRL311 sold - SRL311-00003, a 1967 Datsun 2000 owned by Don Mackinlay's family since 1971, was recently sold.  Complete but in need of full restoration, the 2000 appeared on Ebay, attracting significant interest.
Second oldest surviving SRL311 for sale November 2006 - (updated January 2008) - second oldest surviving SRL311 for sale - the ex-Jack Scoville Datsun 2000, SRL311-00004, which has been owned by Bob Klemme since 1991, is now up for sale.  This wonderfully restored 2000 was up for auction on Ebay but it did not reach its reserve. Fairlady 1500 features in drivers' parade at Malaysian F1 Grand Prix 19 March 2006, Sepang F1 circuit - Datsun 1500 owner Dharma proudly chauffeurs F1 driver Scott Speed in the drivers' parade. These photographs were taken shortly before the parade took place.
The Datsun Roadster in the 1968 and 1969 Tulip Rallies In 1968 Hannu Mikkola and Jorma Lusenius took their factory Datsun 2000s from the Monte Carlo Rally to the Tulip Rallye, with some success. These pages chart that success and look at the roadster's last appearance on the European Rally scene in 1969.

Nissan Silvia Remote Control model In 1965 a Japanese made radio controlled model of the Nissan Silvia (a coupe based on the Datsun Fairlady chassis) was sold in New York - click on thumbnail for images and details of two survivors of one of the first ever radio control models.
Fairlady - Japan's First Sports Car Phill Brook's excellent book Fair Lady - Japan's First Sports Car,  which includes a number of images sourced from the Register's archives, is now available in Europe. Click on the image for for details of contents and how to order. This is the first ever English text book dedicated purely to the Datsun Roadster. The book is the result of five years hard work - and is a must for all roadster owners.
