1957 - the A80X prototype for the Datsun S211
The 860cc A80X was designed for Nissan on a commission by Yuichi Ohta. The similarity to the production S211, launched later that year, is obvious. Both cars were fibreglass. Some would argue that the grille treatment of the prototype is prettier than the eventual S211 and the first Fairlady SPL212 and SPL213 models.
